i hadn't been since i was probably 10 and drew had never been, so we were pretty excited.
we loaded up the car and travelled north with grama, denny, diane, hannah, teddy, and heidi.
mr. max was kind enough to take his nap in the car!
we were the third and final car in the caravan.
and when i say we loaded up the car, i really meant it!we stayed in mackinaw city at a campground in really nice little cabins.
they had beds, a bathroom, and a partial kitchen.

after dinner, max had a bath and then got into his jammies. it was a little chilly so i put his coat on him and well...you can clearly see that someone has on A LOT of stripes!we had a great first day...full of travelling, setting up camp, family time, and enjoying good food and drinks.
