christmas at grama's...

christmas afternoon we headed over to grama's house to open presents.
emptying his stocking...teddy grahams, spiderman bandaids, a $5 target gift card, and a stuffed animal puppy!

then the present opening started...

thanks for spoiling him grama! :)

everyone came over for dinner around 5.
the food and company were great!

we had some fun with the mustaches that were in my stocking from drew!

and my final gift from drew.
two tickets (one for me and one for diane) to go to a q&a with three actors and a director from the walking dead!  i am super excited!!!
he even did some arts and crafts to "disguise" the gift.
too funny!  thanks drew!

christmas morning and mass...

we actually woke up to the alarm on christmas morning at about 7:45!
max ran downstairs to see if santa had come.
first he checked the plate that he left for santa.
cupcakes and a beer for santa and carrots for the reindeer! :)

all gone! :)

next we checked out our stockings.

jelly belly beans...one of max's favorites!

wow...he came!

what a handsome little guy!

his gift from santa's "surprise" bag of toys...a batman mask!

daddy got us straws for our green monster smoothies!

the big gift from momma and daddy...a castle!
max was very thankful for his gifts.
he blew kisses to santa at the north pole to thank him for his football guy, daddy lion, and batman mask!

after all the present opening excitement...we got ready for and headed to church.
grama saved us seats, right up front by the manger scene...perfect.
during one of the quiet moments of mass, max started singing "happy birthday to jesus."
it was beyond precious!  pretty perfect if you ask me.

gingerbread house...

i headed to linda and bill's on christmas eve by myself.
drew stayed back with max who was still coughing a lot.
they were excited to tackle a project together...a gingerbread house!

max decided to read the directions! :)

it was time to get started!

such concentration!

the finished product.  nice work guys!

christmas with grammi and grampa kenny...

we headed down to celebrate christmas with drew's family!
first, we went to aunt crystal's house for dinner.
the food was delicious and there were many conversations to be had, so i didn't get any pictures.

after dinner, we headed to grammi and grampa ken's place to open presents.
grampa ken and max were horsing around!

max got his first sled from grammi and grampa ken!

and an iron man transformer from uncle austin!

randi made a hat with an attachable beard for drew.  it's hilarious!
he also got a crank radio...he's been wanting one for awhile!

max got a bunch of superhero stuff...a batman shirt and socks, spiderman unders and raincoat, superhero dominoes, spiderman figures, and an ironman pez.  he was pumped!

the girls got their keurigs and were pretty surprised and excited!

here is proof that i was actually there! :)
i got new towels, a pretty scarf, and a few new homemade hats! thanks!

merry christmas grammi and grampa ken.
thanks for a fun day!

snow day fun...

we enjoyed a snow day last week thursday!
the first thing max asked about when we got up was if he could get his red snow shovel and help his daddy shovel the driveway! :)

all bundled up...

...and ready to go!

working hard.

once the work was done...it was time to play!
they quickly got to work on their first snowman!

i decided to watch from the comfort (and warmth) of the house with coffee in hand!

i did manage to find supplies to decorate the snowman with.
max decided he needed a mustache and then named him "grampa kenny!"
nice work boys!

oshkosh light adventure...

we took a trip to oshkosh to drive through menominee park to look at the light displays.
max fell asleep on the way there and we had to wake him up once we arrived.
i was driving so i didn't get any pictures of the actual displays.

but about halfway through the park, you have the option of stopping at santa's workshop.
to our surprise, santa's reindeer were there!
(on a side note, they are much uglier and smellier than we had imagined)

max thought they were pretty neat!

we got a picture in this really neat sleigh.
max thought it might be santa's.

here he is telling santa all about the football player that he'd like for christmas.
i'm glad that when he gets and idea...he sticks to it! :)

he's got the moves...

this series of photos took place during cookie decorating.
seriously, there are no words.  just enjoy!
