some of life's adventures...

i had a great day joining max at school for "muffins with mom."
they performed a song for us, we shared a muffin, and we even made a craft for daddy for father's day.
it was haircut time...so we headed to see steph.  max requested a buzz cut.
it's only hair, right?  doesn't he look old.  holy moly.

early may brought human race time!
hannah and teddy joined max and i for the event!
our theme was "youth go makes me one in a minion!"
some of the staff dressed like the human characters and everyone else dressed like minions! :)
max and i enjoying the beautiful day!
when did he turn 10? ridiculous.
anyway, i picked him up some headphones and he loves them.
it's awesome to see him rocking out to some tunes.
we went to food fair.  great reason to spend too much money on okay food.  but it was an excuse to hang out as a family and have a mr. reyenbeau chocolate chip cooking.  i managed to only take one picture and it was of this stud muffin.
after we stopped to say hi to friends.  they had just chopped down a tree in their backyard.
max and audrey decided to howl like wolves on the tree stump.
actually max was howling and audrey copied his every move.
drew had left max a note one morning and max wanted to leave one in return.
i spelled the words he and he wrote them! :)

i love to watch him play.
we took a muffin tin lunch over to hannah and teddy's house and spent a little time with them on a beautiful afternoon.
max and i and the youth go kids helped the neenah historical society plant a few trees.

and whew...i think that was most of the month of may.

meeting randall cobb...

we found out that randall cobb was signing autographs at a local walmart store.
we decided to go because, well, packers.
because we were going to meet a "player," max had to dress like a player.
as you can imagine, he was quite a hit.
when we got up to randall, max was pretty excited and a little nervous.
he said, "randall cobb, you're my biggest fan."  instead of making a big deal about it, randall just laughed it off and said, "you got it.  that's right!"
pretty cool experience.

a super day...

i spent an afternoon with spiderman.
we played baseball
and had a picnic
yep...it was a pretty super day! :)

easter 2014...

a few family pics before we headed to church on easter.

headed to grama's for dinner.

easter egg hunt for the kids.

cottage fun...

sometime in may, max and i went up to the stachowiak's cottage.
we did some shopping.
"mom, we have to get this because we are americans and this is an american eagle."
we did not get it.
we played games.
this was all of us playing glow in the dark hide and go seek.  awesome!
this is max on the way home...worn out.
love fun with family!

a little of this and a little of that...

what a stud!
here's a pic of max working with erin for his breathing therapy.
awhile back, max was diagnosed with something called paradoxal vocal fold dysfunction.
basically his vocal cords are closing during exercise when they should stay open.  not sure why this happens but erin worked with max to teach him different ways to breathe to help to keep them open.  he loved working with her and i think it really made a difference.
max and mags. <3 br="">
some of our favorite people visited from kentucky.  we all ventured to the building for kids or "balloon store" as max likes to call it.  we played, we wore costumes, we listened to stories,
we made masks, and we had lots of fun!
we even took hilarious pictures of our crazy children! :)

happy birthday daddy...

(wow-hello blog and any people out there who are actually reading it...nice to see you again)
drew's birthday was in april.
we celebrated with dinner at my mom's house surrounded by family.

max was excited to help pick out the cake.
and help decorate.  he put crate paper on all the chairs and was very determined to put the colors in a patters...red, blue, red, blue... :)
happy birthday to you,
happy birthday to you,
happy birthday dear, drew,
happy birthday to you!

getting caught up...

trying to catch up on blogging...
there's more to come but not tonight, i'm pretty tired! :)

our weekend...

(st. patrick's day weekend...)
max is currently going to voice therapy with a speech-language pathologist to help him learn different ways to breathe when he exercises...
after one of his appointments, we went out for a max and momma date.
we decided on lunch at aspen.
and a ride on rudolf...but only for max! :)
and then we stopped for a haircut.
he wanted to read a magazine like the "other mans" there at the haircut place.
saturday he got himself dressed.  can you guess what his favorite color is?
then we whipped up a leprechaun trap to try to catch one...
the finished product.

final morning in florida - thanks for a great visit...

we had a great time visiting you in florida.
thank you dad for making it all possible!

i am so very thankful to have made so many memories as a child with my grandparents.
watching my child make memories with them is pretty unbelievable.
thanks for taking such good care of us.
we can't wait until next time.
