packer family night...

one of my mom's friends had extra tickets to packer family night.

so, max and i were ready to go.

there were lots of kids activities.

we decided to wait in line for tattoos!

we spent some time walking around, looking at statues, and waiting for our friends to arrive!

becky, baby audrey and becky's parents were joining us for the fun!

the night ended with the lights off and an awesome fireworks show!

action packed michigan trip...

our long awaited trip to michigan finally arrived!

the drive went great.  max and drew both got in naps...big surprise there! :)

we made a pit stop to visit our friends the eversons.  they treated us to a great dinner and a boat ride.

it was great to catch up.  (i didn't get a single picture)

after our visit we headed to grampa mark's house.

and what do you get when at grampa mark's?  DONUTS of course! 

first on the agenda was a trip to the detroit zoo!

and where to next? his choice...a giant ice!

and of course, max managed to get a new snuggle buddy out of the visit.  his very own macaw!

the next day we got up and got ready to go to a park and do some swimming!

max was excited to ride in grampa mark's convertible!

this kid is a little fish.  he loves the water and has no fear!

swim lessons this summer really helped him learn to hold his breath and feel comfortable going under water.

so handsome.

that night, it was time for a detroit tigers's game!!!

i hadn't been to one since i was a kid with my dad and i was so excited to be able to go to one with max.

he was taking the tiger thing seriously...look at that roar!

time to bring on the hot dogs and peanuts!

we had great seats.  the first row on the upper deck. 

it was a beautiful night for a baseball game.

and we even got to see a grand slam.  well, drew and i did.  grampa mark, elaine, and max missed it becasue they were off hat shopping.

we ended the night with a ride on the ferris wheel.

the next day, we headed up to au gres to visit gg and gramps.

aunt di, uncle rich and paige came up for dinner.

it was great to be able to see them.

max and gramps got in some early morning fishing.

and then we headed out for a boat ride!

max was excited to get to drive gramps' boat.

so more car ride sleeping was in order...

i'm so lucky to be married to this guy.

it was a great visit.  can't wait until we can do it again.
