day 5 in florida - adventure day...

we started day 5 off with a little super why.
i love how he crosses his feet like this when he sits!

we took walks every morning.
this palm tree cracked us up each time that we passed it.
i could get used to a christmas tree like this!

while max napped, drew and i got to spend some time relaxing pool side.
it was nice to get some sun, listen to our ipods, and enjoy the silence!
after max woke up we got him changed into his shorts and decided to go for a drive.
i love them.

he was excited about what ever he was looking at!
we then drove to marco island to look around and do a little shopping.
max and daddy got cool new t-shirts.

max enjoyed this "be-bop" on the car ride home from marco island.

after a yummy dinner we headed to this really neat christmas light display.
max was very excited to see "mary and joseph."

there was this amazing little village.
max really liked looking at all the little figurines.
rather than picking max up, this seemed easier to grampa and gramps.

crack me up!

family shot in front of frosty.

my dad and i with max!

next we headed to the naples greyhound track to see a few races.

max was intrigued and loved watching the dogs run but he cried when the races were done because then the dogs were gone.

grampa and drew were trying to pick their dogs!
after that, drew took max to watch the dogs being weighed in.

max barked at number 6.
so we put a few bucks down on that race.

man those dogs are fast!
mr. max was the big winner at the races.
he won about $7.60!
thanks gramps, granny, grampa, uncle scott, and aunt lisa for a great time.
it was so nice to spend a few days with all of you!

Great photos Kelly! So nice that you could all be together for Christmas. Love the one of your grandpa and Max reading. Smiled when I saw the photo of your dad & grandpa lifting Max in his stroller. :) I've done this, it's so hard to get kids "back in" their stroller sometimes this is easier. :) Your son is beautiful. Happy new year! love, Jill
