day 3 in florida - trip to the zoo...

day 3 was a little chilly, but the sun was out!
we decided to take a trip to the naples zoo.

checking out the gators!

max and daddy liked looking at the lion.

this leopard was pacing back and forth.
max would cheer every time he got close to us.

it sure was a life saver!

next max and daddy checked out the giraffes.

there were seven of them!

here's a picture of one of the littlest ones.

this gator looked like he wanted one of us for lunch!

as we were watching the very large gators from above we heard some rustling in the bushes.

we took a closer look and found baby raccoons.

they were not part of the zoo exhibits and we quickly made our way onto the next animal.

max was so excited the whole afternoon.

he loved looking at the animals and making their noises.

we found a great playground inside of the zoo and let max do some running around.
