pumpkin carving '12...

max was beyond excited to carve pumpkins.
i made the mistake of telling him on the drive home from school that we were going to do it that night.
after asking me about 10 times "is it time yet?' i had to get creative.
i cut out shapes and a pumpkin out of construction paper so that he could figure out how he wanted his jack-o-lantern to look so that i could get dinner made.

after dinner, it was go time!
scraping the goo out of the inside.

he didn't mind it at all.
that was a good thing...cause the hole in the top was barely big enough for my hand to fit.
he did a great job cleaning it out.
next, we drew on his face...circle eyes, a triangle nose and a mouth with teeth.
we got one of those tool kits, so he was able to help me make the cuts.
he was so proud of his pumpkin, he carried it around the house with him.
the finished products...drew's, max's, and mine.
