we headed down to college avenue for octoberfest for music, food and fun!
we found a really great band on the campus of lawrence.

max was so excited to check out the firetruck. he did a pretty good job waiting in line.

speaking of cheese...here is max enjoying his first wisconsin deep fried cheese curd. he was a fan!
then we stopped for a bit to listen to copper box. max was busting a move and he was definitely a fan favorite. he was enjoying the music and having so much fun. then, he looked right at me and said, "momma, i want to go sleep in my bed." he never asks to sleep. so drew and i headed home. he took a great nap, then we met back up with everyone for some yummy chili at grama's house.what a fun day and a great way to kick off a new season!
