just a fun day...

memorial park adventures...
captain max!

he loves this swing!!!

the next stop was to barnes and noble...
he had a blast getting all of these animals up and putting them in groups.

and his choice for dinner...
...buffalo wild wings.

and the final stop was home to add two more fish to his tank.
we've now got lulu, popper, sharky and brave.

chalk on the town...

a few weeks ago we headed downtown on a friday evening for "chalk on the town."
many of the stores and restaurants had featured artists with chalk drawings outside.
we checked out the drawings and looked around in some of the shops and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
my favorite

max doing some chalk art of his own!

max's favorite because of all of the birds!

wedding fun...

drew was asked to sing for leah and steve's wedding ceremony.
a garage practice was in store and once max saw the set up, he had to get in on the fun.

on the way to the ceremony.

me with my very handsome boy.

drew had to run to guitar center before the wedding and came back with this gift for max...a percussion frog.  isn't that what every 4 year old needs.

here is the wedding singer himself.  :)

here's becky, the maid of honor, wedding planner, and max's future mother-in-law.

 such a beautiful service!

we got to the dinner and reception and max was ready to PARTY!!!

a little coffee before the dancing!?!
no, it was just water! :)

sweet audrey.  max will tell anyone...this is the girl he's going to marry! :)

 photography courtesy of max!

 me and my buddy

he was a dancing machine!

we had a great time.  thanks to steve and leah for allowing us to witness their special day!

nearing the end...

drew has had a very busy summer full of musical adventures.
we've done our best to attend as many "old american junk" shows as possible.

we had front row seats to see them play on the patio at stone cellar.
so very proud of my talented husband.

and this guy here is his daddy's biggest fan!!!!

max the model...

max gave modeling a try last month.
he was calling it his first "gig."  it was adorable.
he did a great job and didn't really get nervous at all.

it was an early morning...but he was ready to go!

quick screen shot of the kids before the commercial break preceding their fashion show.

he did awesome.
here is the link to see the actual spot from fox 11...

always a riot...

no words needed.

date with my little buddy...

drew had a friday night gig so max and i decided it'd be a good night for a date.
i gave him a few choices and he picked a tratts game!

that night there were lots of things to check out outside of the stadium, so we were a little late getting to our seats.  there were police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and more.

"bubbly water" (sierra mist) is always max's treat choice at the games!

i'm always impressed at how into the game he gets...cheering for the team, dancing to the music, dancing along in between innings...it's a blast!

the game was tied and was going on and on...
we left around 11 at the bottom of the 10th inning.  he was so excited to see the fireworks and run the bases after the game but it was getting so late.  i was preparing for a meltdown, but was really proud of him and how he handled it.  now i just have to make sure we make it to one more friday night game this season so he gets the chance to take in those end of the game events! :)

music in the park...

(wow...i'm really behind.  time to play catch up!)

max and i decided to head down to music in the park with grama on a beautiful thursday evening.
when given the choice for dinner, this kid chose a hot dog.  gross.
but he seemed to enjoy it!

hot dog eating aside...i don't think i could possibly love this kid any more than i do!

tried to get a shot of all three of us...

and we did much better the second time! :)

we busted a move.

and had some serious fun!

fourth of july door county adventures...

for the 4th of july we decided to go spend a few days up in door county!
we loaded up in "oshkosh" and started the drive.
me and my buddy at the table.

drew and baramee (my rotary club's foreign exchange student who stayed with us for 3 weeks) rode up front.

we headed down to one of our favorite spots in sturgeon bay for lunch - kitty o'reily's irish pub.

ham bone!

what would a fourth of july be without some fireworks!

hannah and i ready to head down to the beach!

max was pretty excited about this silly light up toy that drew got him! :)

ready for the show to begin!

the master of ceremonies!

on friday we got invited for a boat ride with uncle bill!

such a gorgeous day for a boat ride.  the great company made it even better!
