new toy...

so grama decided that max needed one of these walkers.

can you say...spoiled! :)

he will just lay on the ground and "pet" and atare at his new toy.

he loves being in it too. (and no, max is not waiting for a flood...sitting in that thing jacks his pant legs up!)

melt my heart...

every night right before bedtime i take max upstairs.
we sit on his love seat, he snuggles up with his blanket and we read a few books.
last night was probably the best time we've had doing this.
i was reading one of our favorites, llama llama red pajama, and it seemed like max was really following along and reacting to the pictures.
then in the middle of the next book, on the night you were born, max looked at me and then laid his head on my shoulder...it was one of the most special moments that we have shared.

bath time...

max loves bathtime.

we usually take baths in the morning but took one tonight so that it would be easier to get ready for church in the morning.

he was splashing, smiling, laughing, and having a ball.

his hair is getting so long...we did some styling!

this morning...

max had an action packed saturday morning.

we started off with some serious playing....blocks, toys, books, and more.


then we did some reading/eating of one of our favorite books.

max snuggled with his newest toy...a sock monkey from grandpa ronnie all the way from arkansas.

next he got to hang out with uncle dan and uncle charlie from rhinelander. they were up because their band played in neenah last night. they stayed with us and got to meet and play with max this morning.

and to top off the morning...max got mail. a st. patrick's day card from grama v. thanks grama...max LOVES getting cards from you!

our girls...

our dogs have done such a good job adjusting to having max in the house.

they have had to take a back seat for the past 8 1/2 months. but we think they know that spring is in the air and that there are many, many walks that we'll get to take in the very near future. the squirrels are running around outside and almost all of the snow has melted. the end of winter is near!

we sure do love our girls!

max's first performance...

max played with a piano for the first time today.

our little rockstar...

because of drew's musical talent, max has countless "rockstar" and guitar themed shirts and onesies. now add to it the fact that the first toy that drew went out and bought on his own for max was a guitar...we're in trouble! somebody help a momma out and get this kid a football! :)

nothing too exciting went on this weekend. we just spent some quality time playing, hanging out, and having fun.
