we planned a little vacation to the dells...watch out wilderness resort - here we come!
the boys were
sooooooo excited. max couldn't control himself and
hayden thought max was a bit crazy!
last time we were here (about 2 years ago) max was not a fan. i think there were too many noises and too many people. this time, he was all about it. going down slides, laying/splashing in the water, and floating down the lazy river.
after playing for awhile, we headed back to the room for dinner and just to hang out.
i got the boys matching pjs but they didn't sit still long enough for me to get a good picture.
the next morning...uncle
denny made pancakes for breakfast and showed off his guns!
max was a pretty satisfied customer.

we quickly got ready and headed back to the waterpark!
we decided since we were on vacation, we'd share a bloody
mary for lunch!

after shopping, we all met back in the room and decided to go out for fish.
we went to a really great new restaurant in the dells and had a great dinner
we had a pretty low-key night and just hung out in the room.
the next morning,
hannah and max played games on the
ipad while the rest of us packed up all of our stuff.
look at these three goofballs. we had a fun time.
hannah and teddy were so good to max and were so helpful in keeping him entertained. looking forward to our next family adventure!
it was fun to watch them work together.

we came back for lunch, put max down for a nap, and relaxed. the boys did this...and the girls went shopping to the outlet mall!

here is one of max's favorite spots...we aren't quite sure why. he loves laying on the dining room table. he brings books, toys, and cars up there with him. he thinks it's hilarious when we discover that he is up there.
some of max's favorite things to play with lately are these animals. we call them "hard animals," because, well, they are hard.
he had them all lined up under the ottoman and told me they were in their barn.
i just can't get over how grown up he seems when he plays lately.
the other night we wore party hats for dinner. a special occasion? nope, just something to make a regular dinner not so regular!
